Kate Sasamoto

Katherine Sasamoto

As HRPP Associate Director, Kate is responsible for advising on matters related to human research including strategic planning and enterprise-wide program and policy development to support the ethical and professional conduct of human research across all three campuses. 

Kate joined the HRPP as a member of the Office of Research Compliance Review in 2017 from the Michigan Medicine Corporate Compliance Office, where she held the role of Regulatory Compliance Specialist and was responsible for compliance areas related to conflict of interest, data sharing, research, and HIPAA. She received her J.D. from Michigan State University and a B.D. from the University of Michigan.
